You are welcome to the official website of the Catholic Diocese of Minna, Niger State, Nigeria.

The Catholic Diocese of Minna is in Niger State, Nigeria. What has grown today to become a Diocese, started as a Mission Station of Lokoja, the present day Capital City of Kogi State, Nigeria, in 1911 when Rev. Fr. Leon De Bourge, SMA celebrated the first Mass at Baro (Agaie/Lapai Parish), Bida Deanery. It has blossomed to become a Jurisdiction of more than 55, 000 Faithful in different Parishes, Quasi Parishes and Mission Stations in different parts of Niger State.

Today Minna Diocese is blessed with Diocesan and Missionary Priests, many Religious Men and Women, Catechists, Volunteer Lay Pastoral Workers (men and women) who carry on the work of evangelization in the urban and rural Parishes, Quasi Parishes and Mission Stations of the Diocese.

Following the footsteps of the early Missionaries the MISSION of the Diocese is preaching the Gospel of Christ to all by, “ESTABLISHING THE LOCAL CHURCH.”

Minna Diocese shares borders with sister jurisdictions like Kaduna Archdiocese, Abuja Archdiocese, Ilorin Diocese and Kontagora Vicariate.
